California Department of Corrections & Rehabilitation: The California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR) expects to hire approximately 7,000 correctional officers over the next three years due to the increase in retirements. NAFJobs (USAF): NAF employment is considered federal employment. It is, however, different from federal civil service employment because the monies used to pay the salaries of NAF employees come from a different source. Civil service positions are paid for by money appropriated by Congress. NAF money, on the other hand, is self-generated by Air Force clubs, bowling centers, golf courses, and other activities that use NAF employees.

Orion International: The nation’s largest military recruiting firm, fully owned and operated by military veterans. Orion has found civilian careers for over 27,000 veterans since its inception in 1991, and we work with both Junior Military Officers and Enlisted Technicians and Leaders. Siemens Welding Boot Camp: Are you a Veteran? Do you want to learn the welding skills necessary to work at Siemens? Siemens is looking for skilled Welders to be a part of its team. As a welder you will be expected to perform a variety of component welds, using both automatic and manual processes. Welders will be welding stainless steel, low carbon steel and aluminum. All welding is done to AWS standards. In order to ensure that candidates have the necessary welding skills to work for Siemens, Sacramento Works and Los Rios Community College has partnered to offer a Welding Boot Camp. The 8 week Boot Camp will provide the technical welding training needed to gain the necessary skills to be employed as a Welder with Siemens.

Target – Military & Veteran Support: As a member of the 100,000 Jobs Mission, Target has joined other top companies in a pledge to hire more U.S. military veterans. Together, we’ve already hired a total of 140,832 veterans through the first quarter of 2014, putting the coalition well on the way to beating its doubled goal of hiring 200,000 by 2020. Our team member benefits for activated reservists include pay differential and optional medical coverage for dependents.
